We have designed two different summer house flue kits for installing your small stove. Summer houses have experienced a huge surge in popularity over recent years, as they provide the perfect space in your own back garden to work, study, or relax. With a lot more people now choosing to work from home, summer houses have flourished as a separate space that can provide you with a healthy balance and distinction between your home and work life. Plus, they also function as an incredibly fun and unique way of extending your home!
Whether you’re using your summer house as an office or an area for your kids to play, our tiny stove will breathe new life into your summer house, and will gift your space with a truly homely feeling and atmosphere. Our little stove will also provide you with plenty of warmth and comfort, enabling your summer house to be used all year round! You can even boil a kettle or cook some food on the top of our Hobbit stove or our Little Range Cook Stove, and before you know it you’ll be living at the bottom of your garden like a little pixie!
The flue kits shown below contain all of the flue components that you will need to install your tiny stove in a summer house. Our kits are designed for summer houses with felted or shingle roofs with a pitch between 0 and 30 degrees. Summer House Flue Kit 2 has more twin wall insulated flue pipe than Summer House Flue Kit 1. This type of flue pipe can be placed closer to combustible surfaces than single wall flue, which makes this flue kit great if you’re installing your small stove in a more confined space. Due to this flue kit having more insulated twin wall flue than Summer House Flue Kit 1, the flue gases are kept warmer, and therefore the draw should also be better. You can see how other people have incorporated our small multi-fuel stove into the design of their summer house by taking a look through some of our case studies.
Please note: It can be difficult to rigidly stick to the guidelines outlined in Part J Building Regulations when installing any stove into non-domestic settings, such as sheds, cabins, shepherds' huts, garden rooms, tiny homes, boats and other vehicles. Your installer will need to apply a degree of sensible flexibility when installing a stove into these settings.
Our flue kits have not been specifically designed to conform with Part J or other HETAS regulations. Before purchasing a flue kit, please confirm with your installer that they are happy to proceed with the parts listed.
