This includes our new product a canvas flashing kit, specifically designed for installations in canvas tents, to ensure that there is a solid structure once you have cut the hole in your tent to safely secure your flue.

We do not offer the appliance connector/adapter in black powder coating when using a fully twin walled kit and it will remain in stainless due to the proximity to the stove.

Product description

Over the past 15 years our Hobbit Stove has been installed into various canvas glamping structures, such as bell tents, yurts and safari tents. Our Glamping Stove and Flue Special offer provides an opportunity to purchase your wood burner with a huge saving! We recognised the need for a more suitable and stable flashing kit for the flue system when installing into a canvas material, to ensure that there is a solid structure once you have cut the hole in your tent to safely secure your flue.

We have designed a new flashing kit specifically designed for canvas material. This includes a stainless steel trim plate for the inside of the tent, a silicone flashing for the outside then an external ring that sits along the rim of the silicone flashing, these three pieces are then bolted together through the canvas. This creates a very solid structure for the flue to go through and eliminates the issue of the canvas being such a moveable material.

Please note that the canvas flashing kit cannot be in black, the silicone flashing is orange and the trim plates are stainless steel.

Why you may require the guy wire kit

If you are in a high wind spot then the additional guy wire kit and bracket may be required to add extra external support to the flue system.

Do I need an AD cowl?

If your glamping accommodation is surrounded by trees or other buildings, then there might not be a consistent flow of air across the top of your flue. On stormy days you might experience down draught problems, where the flue draw momentarily stops. This can potentially lead to smoke being blown back into the stove. To eliminate this, the rain cap which is included in this glamping flue kit can be swapped for an anti-down draught cowl.
