Canvas Tent Stove Installation Kits
Over the past 15 years our Hobbit Stove and Little Range Cook Stove has been installed into various canvas glamping structures, such as bell tents, yurts and safari tents. Mark, our wonderful founder, has years of unwavering knowledge when it comes to all things glamping – from designing and founding his own bell tent company, to installing our stoves into a vast array of small spaces.
We have designed a Canvas Flue Kit to suit any type of canvas structure! This kit consists of a rear flue wedge, 100mm/4" appliance connector, a 100mm/4" twin wall 500mm length, our canvas flashing kit, 2 x 100mm/4" twin wall 800mm lengths, 100mm/4" twin wall standard cowl/rain cap then a storm collar. As an addition you can also add on a guy wire kit if you are in a high wind spot to add extra external support to the flue system.
We have designed a new Canvas Flashing Kit specifically designed for canvas material. This includes a stainless steel oval trim plate for the inside of the tent, a silicone flashing for the outside then an external ring that sits along the rim of the silicone flashing, these three pieces are then bolted together through the canvas. This creates a very solid structure for the flue to go through and eliminates the issue of the canvas being such a moveable material.
Please note: It can be difficult to rigidly stick to the guidelines outlined in Part J Building Regulations when installing any stove into non-domestic settings, such as sheds, cabins, shepherds' huts, garden rooms, tiny homes, boats and other vehicles. Your installer will need to apply a degree of sensible flexibility when installing a stove into these settings.
Our flue kits have not been specifically designed to conform with Part J or other HETAS regulations. Before purchasing a flue kit, please confirm with your installer that they are happy to proceed with the parts listed.
