Designed in Germany, The Adler Yankee Hatchet Axe is great for taking on adventures. The axe is inspired by typical American hand axes with a broader, heavier head than the German axes. The cutting edge is also thinner and sharper, perfect for making your way through the forest! This axe also comes with a sturdy leather sheath. The head is forged from C60 steel which is a hard carbon steel that is easy to sharpen, and the cutting edge is thin and sharp. As an addition, the head has a transparent coating that protects the steel from rusting. Please note that this coating will wear off with repeated use.

The handle is made from American Hickory wood, a type of wood absorbs blows well. The handle has a layer of non-slip paint that makes it very pleasant to hold, and the paint Adler uses is completely water-based making it better for the makers and the environment!
