Product description

Over the past 15 years our Hobbit Stove and Little Range Cook Stove has been installed into various canvas glamping structures, such as bell tents, yurts and safari tents. Our canvas flue kit is designed to suit any type of canvas structure! This kit consists of a 100mm/4″ appliance connector, please note that this will always be in stainless steel even in you choose black powder coating due to the proximity to the stove. It then goes into a 100mm/4″ twin wall 500mm length, our canvas flashing kit, 2 x 100mm/4″ twin wall 800mm lengths, 100mm/4″ twin wall standard cowl/rain cap then a storm collar. As an addition, you can also add on a guy wire kit if you are in a high wind spot to add extra external support to the flue system. As pictured, our rear flue wedge is a great option to have with this kit!

You can read our detailed guide here on how to install a wood burning stove and flue kit into a bell tent or yurt.

Do I need an AD cowl?

If your canvas tent is surrounded by trees or other buildings, then there might not be a consistent flow of air across the top of your flue. On stormy days you might experience down draught problems, where the flue draw momentarily stops. This can potentially lead to smoke being blown back into the stove. To eliminate this, the rain cap which is included in this glamping flue kit can be swapped for an anti-down draught cowl.
