What Baffle to choose?

The way to determine what baffle you need is simple – you will need to figure out if you have a Pre-Eco Design Hobbit, Hobbit SE or Range, or an Eco-Design Hobbit, Hobbit SE or Range.

If the secondary air control wheel is located at the back of the stove in the top right corner, you have a Pre-Eco Hobbit Stove/SE/Little Range, so you will need to choose the Pre-Eco Design Hobbit, Hobbit SE or Range Baffle. If the secondary air control is located below the shelf at the front of the stove as a silver pin next to the tertiary air control which both move left and right, you have an Eco-Design Hobbit Stove/SE/Little Range, so you will need to choose the Eco-Design Hobbit, Hobbit SE or Range Baffle.

Our cast iron baffle sits at the back of the firebox of your small stove, and it’s a consumable item, meaning that it’ll need to be replaced from time to time. The baffle diverts the gases that are released by your fire, and it increases the time it takes for them to exit your stove. This improves the efficiency of your Hobbit stove, Hobbit SE or Little Range, as it ensures your small wood burner stays hotter for longer.
