Before creating Salamander Stoves, our stove designer Mark worked as a stove installer and would frequently witness beautiful Victorian and Edwardian fireplaces being ripped out just to make space for large stoves. He believed these traditional features are a part of a house’s history, and tearing them out was such a shame, from there sparked an idea.
