Product description
The Hobbit small multi-fuel stove is the perfect wood burning stove for canal boats and narrowboats, and our canal boat stove special offer provides an opportunity to purchase your canal boat wood burner with a huge saving! The Hobbit SE has a tested output that ranges from 3kW to 5.6kW, making it a fantastic addition to a variety of small spaces. Our stove provides a reliable and attractive heating solution, and a real fire will make your narrowboat truly feel like home.
This flue kit provides an attractive, safe, and efficient solution for installing our small stove in a canal boat, Dutch barge, or wide beam boat. It can be installed in accordance with BS:8511:2010, and it also provides a more traditional fitting with a deck flange and collar. If you need to offset your flue parts, then please take a look at Canal Boat Kit 3.
This canal boat flue kit consists of a full twin wall system, and these pipes have a 100mm internal diameter. Twin wall insulated flue parts need to be positioned at least 50mm/2″ away from combustible materials, which means that the exit hole through the inner combustible head lining needs to be 252mm in diameter. This hole is covered by the trim plate.
The exit hole through the steel hull can be 154mm diameter, giving a 2mm clearance around the flue. The 1000mm length of twin wall flue can house our D100 Bracket, that has been specifically designed to act as an adjustable support for the flue system.
The 800mm length of twin wall is supported by the deck flange and collar that it passes through. The additional 500mm length can then be attached with the cowl. The cowl and the 500mm length can be removed and replaced by the closure cap, for when you require a shorter system when travelling under bridges. The twin wall flue parts connect into each other via a simple locking band mechanism.
Deck Fitting Kit
The main component to our canal boat flue kits is the deck fitting kit. This includes 3 cast iron deck rings – 2 of these are tapered and can be rotated to match the pitch of the deck. A support flange which can be positioned either way up to aid the installation and can be sandwiched between 2 of the cast iron rings. This piece will add support to the flue pipe as you can add 3 self tapping screws to secure it to the twin wall pipe that passes through it. A collar placed over the top to neaten and add additional weatherproofing, and a trim plate on the inside.
Explore our optional extras such as the heatshields to reduce distances to combustibles, stainless steel cooktop and rear flue wedge for optimal cooking capabilities, side boiler to heat your water and much more! You could also choose to raise the stove up higher on our stand option. This will provide a better view of your fire, and you can also use it for storing fuel.
