We have designed two different horse box flue kits for installing your small stove. Converting a classic horse box into a stunning tiny home on wheels has become a popular choice for people wanting to live off-grid or debt free, and they are now in high demand! This is due to them being a fantastic choice for those of you who want to live in a vehicle which provides you with more space and style! Highly desirable horse boxes sometimes even have exterior timber cladding, which looks amazing when it’s fully restored. In comparison to a converted works van, horse box conversions offer a much more spacious interior and sometimes even have a tailgate which can fold down and be used as a mini decking area! With a more rustic appearance also adding a good bit of vintage charm, you should definitely consider a horse box conversion as a strong candidate when it comes to building your dream tiny home on wheels!
The roof height of this type of vehicle means that you should ideally incorporate two wall band supports on the twin wall flue pipe, and your small stove should also be securely bolted to the floor. You can read more about how to do this here. In Horse Box Flue Kit 1 the twin wall flue parts have a stainless steel finish which comes as standard, whereas the twin wall parts in Horse Box Flue Kit 2 have a black powder-coated finish. However you would like to install your small stove, our horse box flue kits include everything you will need, and our flue kits make it much easier when it comes to installing your little wood burner!
You can see how other people have incorporated our small multi-fuel stove into the design of their horse boxes by taking a look through some of our case studies.
Please note: It can be difficult to rigidly stick to the guidelines outlined in Part J Building Regulations when installing any stove into non-domestic settings, such as sheds, cabins, shepherds' huts, garden rooms, tiny homes, boats and other vehicles. Your installer will need to apply a degree of sensible flexibility when installing a stove into these settings.
Our flue kits have not been specifically designed to conform with Part J or other HETAS regulations. Before purchasing a flue kit, please confirm with your installer that they are happy to proceed with the parts listed.
