UK heat logs review

The UK heat logs are a super product which come in boxes of 8 logs. The way the logs are packed makes them really easy to store so for canal boat owners, shepherds hut users and others with a wood stove but limited space they are a great all round wood fuel solution. The logs themselves are very dense yet still very easy to light.

This first picture shows the log after it has been placed on to a small bed of embers inside The Hobbit and has been burning for around 45 minutes.. It took no time before it got going and a bright flame was produced.

The second picture shows the log after another 30 mins, it has really got going and whilst there is a little expansion this actually benefits the burning as it produced more airflow around the log and ensures that the bright flame is maintained. The bottom picture shows the ember produced by these logs.

UK Heat logs burning after 1 minute – Lighting a heat log. The log was added to a small bed of embers to see how effective they are at igniting.

UK Heat logs burning after 30 minutes – The logs have taken well and a good bright flame is starting to be generated.

UK Heat logs burning after 60 minutes – The logs have expanded which has made them arch in the firebox of the stove. This allows a greater amount of primary air into the base of the fire and promotes an excellent bright flame.
